We are Bill Rainey and Kayla Hazeldine.
We are the owner-operators of Cold Air Helicopters (previously Amalgamated Helicopters, NZ). Our family and staff are excited to continue offering experienced, precise, quality, and safe helicopter services in Wairarapa and across the lower North Island.
Bill is our Chief Pilot. He has 15+ years experience as a helicopter pilot with 8+ of those years flying here in the Tararua Ranges and across Wairarapa.
He has ratings in several machines and experience throughout New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific Islands.
Before kids, Kayla was working as a midwife in the community. She also has a background in business.
Together we have 3 very energetic young boys and a new addition; Cooper, Oscar, Louie, & Della. You’ll see them floating around the hangar from time to time.
We have a great team behind us. Our ground crew are experienced and crucial to our operations.
